dc.description.abstract Disability is not just a health problem, it is a complex phenomenon and a physical or mental condition that limits a person’s movement, sense or activities. Persons with disability include those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others. This presentation look at the legal provisions in Nigeria, policy and practice as well as overcoming the challenges faced by people living with disabilities which requires interventions to remove environmental and social barriers. en_US
