dc.description Drug abuse is a significant problem in Nigeria, with an estimated 14.3 million drug users in the country. The Northern region of Nigeria has been particularly affected by drug abuse, with a high prevalence of drug use among young people. The use of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and heroin is widespread, and the problem is compounded by the lack of basic social amenities, high unemployment rates, and poverty en_US
dc.description.abstract The problem of drug abuse among young people in Northern Nigeria is a serious issue that requires a comprehensive approach. NGOs play an essential role in combating drug abuse by providing education and awareness campaigns, treatment and rehabilitation services, and advocacy. However, there is a need for more resources and support to enable NGOs to continue their important work and reach more young people affected by drug abuse. The government and other stakeholders must collaborate with NGOs to address the issue of drug abuse comprehensively. en_US
