dc.description |
Today, we gather here not only to remember the unthinkable horrors that took place during those dark days but also to honor the resilience and strength of the Rwandan people who have shown the world the power of forgiveness, unity, and reconciliation. The Rwandan genocide, which occurred between April and July 1994, left an indelible mark on our collective conscience. It was a period of unimaginable suffering, during which hundreds of thousands of innocent lives were lost. It is a painful chapter in human history that must never be forgotten, as it serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of hatred, division, and indifference. |
